A/Prof Sheel met with key stakeholders to share the findings from our study looking at vaccination in children with disability in Suva-Nausori area of Fiji.
Working in partnership with our in-country leads, Frank Hilton Organization and Fiji National University and in collaboration with Fiji Ministry of Health and Medical Services + many Australian investigators, we collected data from caregivers, health professionals & community leaders. We found that children with disability had reduced vaccination due to multiple reasons, and experienced barriers like access, stigma, and lack of information. Full results to come. #vaccinessavelives
